Closure 04:55
You guard yourself against the pain You take no risks and feel no shame You keep yourself away from blame You can't go through it all again And then it Breaks through And then it Breaks through Breaks through Breaks through... You couldn't find the words to say And so you tried to turn away But still the memories remain It's time that you embraced your fate And then it Breaks through And then it Breaks through Breaks through...

A thousand likes How many lies? These are the times When you will conquer, or divide A billion ways To die inside As you confide The secret's out You have no life It leaves me cold It leaves me blind The little things You leave behind It makes me sick It makes me tired The game you play To be admired I know your kind A troubled mind You're out of time The secret's out You have no life It leaves me cold It leaves me blind The little things You leave behind It makes me sick It makes me tired The game you play To be admired But I can't leave you Even though I try I just can't leave you Dying on the vine The cats, the food, the remedy Your kids, your life, your family Can't you see the irony In non exclusive privacy? It leaves me cold It leaves me blind The little things You leave behind It makes me sick It makes me tired The game you play To be admired But I can't leave you Even though I try I just can't leave you Dying on the vine (I can't leave you) The cats, the food, the remedy (Leave you) Your kids, your life, your family (I just can't leave you) Can't you see the irony Dying on the Dying on the vine

Solitude & I 04:17
You and me v tomorrow Living off joy and sorrow And the dreaming in our eyes We keep our dreams alive Naiveté blind and holding Our heads up high ignoring The pity in their eyes The pity in their eyes There's nobody out there No-one but you and I Lost in a world where Nobody understands Hiding away the bruises Making up new excuses They'll never understand Never understand There's nobody out there No-one but you and I Lost in the moment Solitude holds my hand Nobody out there No-one but you and I Lost in a world where Nobody understands It's you and me against the world We have to break it down So we can build it up again You and me against the world We're running out of time Oh Solitude, my only friend Nobody out there No-one but you and I Lost in the moment Solitude holds my hand (my only friend) It's you and me against the world We have to break it down So we can build it up again You and me against the world We're running out of time Oh Solitude, my only friend (My only friend x 3)

Embrace the Fear Embrace the fear Embrace the fear (x3) We can't get out of here I keep trying to tell you But I can't explain It feels like the road ahead is far too straight And you know it's okay To feel afraid It's what you do with your fear that counts So let it stay Breathe in me the fire to make a change Embrace the fear, oh make it fade away Fade away Fade away The sum of my dreams Is all I am A raging, a powerless staging of my last stand And you know it's okay To ignore the debate That's when you go with your inner voice, immune to shame Breathe in me the fire to make a change Embrace the fear, oh make it fade away Fade away Fade away Fade away Embrace the fear (x3) You can't get out of here Embrace the fear (x3) You can't get out of here I keep trying to tell you But I can't explain It feels like the road ahead is far too straight And you know it's okay To feel afraid It's what you do with your fear that counts So let it stay Fade away(x3) Embrace the fear (x3) You can't get out of here Embrace the fear (x3) You can't get out of here Embrace the fear (x3) You can't get out of here Embrace the fear

Visitors 04:22
None of this belongs to us All we have is just on loan We won't matter in a hundred years We're visitors in our own home Visitors Only visitors Destroying things that we don't own Dismantling the life support Denying what is going on Maybe it's too late for us But not for those who carry on Visitors Only visitors Destroying things that we don't own Visitors Only visitors It's almost time for us to go When I see you in the darkness You're so fragile, all alone Now I've woken to your beauty Hanging in the void Visitors Only visitors Destroying things that we don't own Visitors Only visitors And now it's time for us to go When I see you in the darkness You're so fragile, all alone Now I've woken to your beauty Hanging in the void

The Void 04:52
Hello, where are you, are you there? Hello, where are you? I never questioned your emotions You're in the grip of blind devotion Can't get through I can't get through I never advertised my feelings You wouldn't care if I revealed them Tell the truth You know it's true But when you feel the pain I feel the pain with you You say you're fine but you're unsteady And when you break some day I'm ready Here for you I'm here for you You're saying things you don't believe in Can barely walk in those high heels I see through you I see you through And when you feel the pain I feel the pain with you And when you lose your way I will be there for you I tried to take your hand But you were making other plans And you left me where I stood I don't know if you're coming back I'm gonna wait anyhow In case you do I wait for you When you feel the pain I feel the pain with you And when you lose your way I will be there for you And when you feel the pain I feel the pain with you When you lose your way I will be there for you Hello, where are you, are you there? Where are you?

Radio Waves 03:52
You and me Can't you see We're falling apart and becoming debris All we are Bound to cease We're radio waves lost In eternity Because it's over now Because there's no way out This is the final hour Aboard a dying star Look around Can't you see We're drifting away on a vast empty sea All we are Dies away A broadcast, a signal An echo to fade Because it's over now Because there's no way out This is the final hour Aboard a dying star All the stories that we told Count for nothing when we're gone No one hears them at all All the promises we made Came too little and too late Lost in eternity Because it's over now Because there's no way out This is the final hour Aboard a dying star Because it's over now (You and me, can't you see We're radio waves lost in eternity) Because there's no way out (You and me, can't you see) This is the final hour (You and me, can't you see) Aboard a dying star (We're radio waves lost in eternity) Because it's over now ...

The After 03:48
This time I will never let you down again If we just go our separate ways No more guilt or pain No debts to pay This truth That we constructed for ourselves A world to fill our desperate needs A place where we can hide away In the after Will we be together? Where everything is symmetry And everlasting harmony In the after In the after You say That you see things a different way But still I don't know what you want I don't know what we're fighting for In the after Will we be together? Where everything is symmetry And everlasting harmony In the after In the after In the after Will we need each other? In the after In the after And now we've reached the point of no return In the after Will we be together? Where everything is symmetry And everlasting harmony In the after In the after

Way to Love 04:30
How can you be happy When you hurt yourself? All this life you're wasting When you know fine well And the hurt Like a wave Washing over Till it's over Should this Be the way That you love That you love? When you'll Never be Good enough Choices that you're making Lovers that you take None of this is helping Only bringing pain And the hurt Like a wave Washing over Here it comes Like a wave Washing over Till it's over Should this Be the way That you love That you love? When you'll Never be Good enough Doesn't have to be like this... (Should this Be the way That you love That you love? When you'll Never be Good enough)

Waiting Game 04:36
I watch you standing on the edge As I dissolve in tears of rage You'll take me down with you again But still I play the waiting game I know you better than You know yourself and I'm The only one who'll take you in I've come to recognise your lies Before they've even taken flight And though you'll leave me in the rain I know you'll be back here again I know you better than You know yourself and I'm The only one who'll take you in I've given all I have And that's what breaks my heart You still can't see the state you're in oooh... I see you step out off the edge I know that I can't turn away I walk towards the emptiness And still we play the waiting game I know you better than You know yourself and I'm The only one who'll take you in I've given all I have And that's what breaks my heart You still can't see the state you're in Oooh... I watch you step out off the edge

I feel untethered I'm trying to stay afloat And I don't trust this weather I'm so far from shore As the waves Break over my head tonight I'll keep a memory of you As the waves Drown all my sins, I'll try To baptise them in you You are all I wish for Admiring from afar Grace and liberation And all that I desire As the waves Break over my head tonight I'll keep a memory of you As the waves Drown all my sins, I'll try To baptise them in you You are all I wish for The secret in my heart Lost in admiration I worship from afar As the waves Break over my head tonight I'll keep a memory of you As the waves Drown all my sins, I'll try To baptise them in you You All I wish for The secret in my heart The secret in my heart You All I dream of The secret in my heart

about

Unify Separate are back with their new album ‘Music Since Tomorrow’. The Stockholm synth band have made a quantum leap with their sophomore outing, and showcase a bigger, more direct sound that is reinforced by powerful electric guitar contributions by Suede’s Richard Oakes.

The new album finds the duo full of confidence on the back of successful gigs in Germany with darkwave legends Diary of Dreams and the support slot to Suede when they came to Stockholm on their Coming Up anniversary tour. But, in truth, the path to this point has not been without its struggles…

The world has been completely and utterly turned upside down since Unify Separate released their debut album ‘First Contact’ in 2019. Rave reviews took the band to Norway, UK and Germany, and they were building real momentum. But then, everything changed.

Lockdown, an increasingly uncertain world and personal disintegration. Andrew went through a separation, questioning his direction in life, and Leo seemed to lose his mind spending thousands of hours immersed in music theory and madly seeking technical perfection, investing in and reinventing his studio, leaving nothing to chance.

What was intended as an uplifting electronic album created in a straightforward manner turned into a monster. Their film-soundtrack-inspired synth sound expanded unexpectedly to take in indie-pop and darker electronic influences. ‘Music Since Tomorrow’ became an album that takes in “pandemic pop”, environmental ills, social media burnout and the disconnects of life, with 11 songs that convey a mass of conflicting emotions.

The end result is an album filled with fantastic electronic indie pop, turning dark thoughts into defiant anthems, especially when Suede guitarist Richard Oakes elevates ‘The Void’ and ‘Waiting Game’, with his searingly beautiful guitar playing.
The album also includes the much-praised singles ‘Solitude & I’, ‘Dying on the Vine’ and ‘Embrace the Fear’.

The album also includes the much-praised singles ‘Solitude & I’, ‘Dying on the Vine’ and ‘Embrace the Fear’. It’s a tour de force by a band that’s tailormade for bigger stages.
